At least one of my O'Brien/Cannon ancestors married a Gallagher at the turn of the 20th century in Donegal. My great aunt, Annie O'Brien, was born in 1886 in Upper Beltany (union of Dunfanaghy, parish of Tullaghobegley). We believe she married a Gallagher and might have had the following children: James, Mary, Sarah, Charlie, Hughie and Bridget (who we believe married an Edgar Strong.) Annie died in 1976. The only part of this I'm absolutely sure of is Annie's birth. If this sounds at all familiar, please respond.

Hi! Were Annie's parents Charles O'Brien and Mary Cannon? I have them marrying 5 May 1867 a the Gweedore Chapel and in the 1901 Beltany Upper census. Lindel

Hi Lindel, How did I miss this post from 2008 for the past six years? Can I ask how/where you found this tidbit (marriage date and location), which has eluded me for so long? A church record, I'm assuming, since I've never been able to find anything in the public records. Would the listing possibly have names of parents or any other information? Thanks for all the help you've given so far!
