Hello -
I'm curious to know how many people have registered to attend the Gallagher Global Gathering in Sept 2007.
Can someone share the numbers with us on this board?
And if so how many from the US, Canada, UK, local, etc ?
Best wishes, Bonnie (Gallagher) Gilson

I only know of the details on this page www.gallagherclan.org/I was hoping for an answer from the admins on this board...but instead maybe we can answer up regarding who is attending here this thread...I'll start: I'm Bonnie Gilson (birth name Gallagher) and I'll be attending from Phoenix, Arizona. This is my first trip to Ireland. Anyone else want to tell us if your attending, where you're from, etc?

Hi Bonnie, I'm also attending but I don't have quite as far to travel as I live just outside Letterkenny. Most of the Gallaghers I've spoken to around here will be going, especially to try and break the record!

My Partner is a Gallagher (Brian) and we would just love to go to this gathering. We live in England in Wigan, Greater Manchester, I have just looked at the pictures on the website and I found that my Partner is a spooky resemblance to one of the Gallagher clan in the (Heroic Gallaghers) the name on the picture is Henry Gallaugher. It would be great to break this record for all of you Gallaghers out there good luck in your attempt I hope you do it.

Hi, i too am just curious on where abouts the gathering is, my family and me are considering going, obviously if nothing holds us back, but we are just concerned on issues such as where to stay and what will be happening. I am from England but I am still a Gallagher and proud to be one!!

hi i'm James Gallagher son of Dessie Gallagher (rip) of Moville Co Donegal i live in Woking Surrey uk .my wife is Lucy ,daughters Amber and Saffron and son Bodhi it would be amazing to break this record we should all be encouraging family and each other as a clan to pull together on this, gallaghers are never beaten , we still have that warrior spirit from when we were the commanders of the o'donnels cavalry they themselves being princes of tir connell .it would be handy to know if there was any planned music etc if not we'll have to make our own fun any musicians out there , a ceile' maybe anyway looking forward to meeting you all i think arranging a forum meet up would be a good idea slainte' friends J

Hi Bonnie, I'm also attending but I don't have quite as far to travel as I live just outside Letterkenny. Most of the Gallaghers I've spoken to around here will be going, especially to try and break the record! Hi Bonnie, my mum who was a Gallagher before marriage wants to travel up from Warrenpoint. I can't find the address of where she needs to go for the world record count though. The website only says a sports complex in Letterkenny. Any idea where it is?

Hi Hankypants, I don't know where the record count is happening...I'll be there but I don't know exactly where yet Send an email to postmaster@gallagherclan.org. Adrian Gallagher at that address has answered several questions for me over the past several months...He's one of the event coordinators. Can't believe I'll be in Ireland in just a few days ! Best wishes - Bonnie (Gallagher) Gilson

Here's a copy/paste from the website: Guiness World Record Guidelines 1. All participants must show a copy of his or her identification to two independent witnesses before entering the LYIT. Acceptable means of identification are: birth certificate, Passport, National ID Cards (with photo only) or a photo driver’s license. For women who were born Gallagher who no longer use the name Gallagher a birth certificate will suffice. That's just one of the "Guidelines" -- there's more at www.gallagherclan.org/ ... I mentioned just this one because I had to quick locate and pack a copy of my birth certificate tonight... Also I did a google search on "LYIT" and it looks like it's the "Letterkenny Institute of Technology"...their website says they have a Sport Center so maybe that's the place ? Best wishes!
